It's strange but it's true...when the Britisher's finally left India for good..i think they left partly because they were to an extent successful in making even the half naked fakir speak their tongue...And some 60 years later..We Indian came back like never before and now the world can't stop from needing our help(read outsourcing, proper grammar, cheap but skillful workforce ).
Anyways even in our day to day life i often come across strange instances where the language in discussion made a helluva difference.
it may seem strange but recently i read somewhere that an actual research finding suggested just what i'm trying to say here....IT PAYS TO SPEAK IN ENGLISH.
Not that i have lost respect for my national language....it still has it's charm...but even that is going through a change. Hindi spoken in certain way seems more "cool" rather than how we actually used to talk.
Also the rise of HINGLISH (thats HINDI mixed with English for those still living in caves) is not easy to ignore.Don't trust me try this simple test..ask any friend to talk to you only in english for the next 1 hr, i bet he'll not be able to do that even if he studied in a convent all his life....now try the other way around ask him only to speak in Hindi and trust me the end result would be the same.
it's really funny yet fascinating to actually observe such changes.
